On this board they are generally despised by most people as far as I've been aware. I think they're great, Aenima in particular is a real fav of mine.

yeah i love all of chevelle's stuff, of all my favorite bands i probably talk about them the least but i listened to their albums nonstop for a couple of weeks when they come out. felt like people were let down with this album after wonder what's next's awesomeness, but i think it's nearly as great.

vena sera grew on me a lot, i went from liking a few songs to pretty much digging the entire album. pete has a fucking killer voice and is still on top of his game, give it another listen.

he is totally right. although nothing can ever be as good as Point #1. Wonder Whats Next tries and almost does, but not quite.
