A little too dancey for me but I like it better than anything on their last album.

yeah the danciness threw me (although I did read this album was going to be more electronic), but like I said the song won me over anyway

Yeah there's more variance in this one song than all of The Suburbs.

I do think Suburbs is a good album and it has a few powerhouse songs, but comparatively it doesn't feel like it has the depth of the first two.

It's pretty easy to see what's happening here.

Funeral = Fleetwood Mac (s/t)
Neon Bible = Rumours
The Suburbs = Tusk

and this one has MIRAGE written all over it

Wake me up when we get to Tango in the Night

neon bible's one of the worst albums i've ever listened to in its entirety
i would never compare it to rumours in any way

Upon the first listen that song seems to be about 3-4 minutes too long. But yeah Neon Bible was their weakest album but it wasn't a bad album. No Cars Go is one of their best songs.

no cars go is just a re-recording of one of the songs from the ep and the original recording sounded b etter

well that's true

you don't even like the title track on neon bible? i always thought it was pretty haunting

it's a pretty self-righteous album, but it has a few great songs (keep the car running being another)

This was always really impressive, especially the tearing-paper percussion

Heard a rumour this is going to be a double album. Why do bands insist on releasing double albums?

anyway i really like this song. didn't need the bowie cameo but whatever. i'm sure its hard to turn it down when he wants to be on your hot track

the best part is whenever regine starts singing in french or whatever. love her voice and it works so well with the "groove" of this song
regine-heavy songs are my favorites

haiti (still the best arcade fire song) and sprawl II
