do we know who's winning in texas and ohio yet?
not sure about RI either, but VA is projected for McCain and Obama.
the other day i saw an article that said the delegate allocation in texas will probably favor Obama, due to primarily black disctricts having a greater total delegate count than in the hispanic ones. then there are caucuses after the polls close, something that Obama has supposedly had an edge of Clinton with, as opposed to just the general polls. so... where is Clinton's chance in this? is this much really riding on ohio again? what is the liklihood of Clinton overtaking Obama at this point? |

Well on CNN and MSNBC sites they are showing Clinton 56% and Obama at 42% but thats with 0% reporting so that doesn't really mean anything.

Clinton cries foul in Texas; Obama lawyer joins Clinton call
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) campaign charged rival Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) campaign with breaking several rules in the Texas caucuses. The Clinton campaign called an “emergency” conference call with reporters that was interrupted by Obama’s chief counsel Bob Bauer, who called in and said the Clinton campaign only criticized the caucus process when it was losing. With Clinton facing what many consider must-win scenarios in both Ohio and Texas and both races too-close-to-call, the Clinton campaign charged that the Obama campaign had shut the doors on Clinton supporters at some of the caucuses, among other things. The campaign also said the Obama camp had hijacked some of the caucus packets at certain precincts, adding that in others Obama supporters were calling in caucus results before the polls had closed. Ace Smith, Clinton’s Texas campaign director, said the state party’s election hotline was jammed, and the Clinton campaign was receiving “hundreds of complaints.” “This is just truly outrageous behavior,” Smith said. “It’s really disturbing, and it’s really undemocratic what’s going on.” Clinton’s attorney said on the call that “all options are open at this point” when asked about the possibility of seeking a legal remedy to the campaign’s concerns. Bauer’s presence on the call came as a surprise as he and Howard Wolfson, Clinton’s communications director, went round and round. Wolfson repeatedly asked Bauer and the Obama campaign to ensure that all votes in Texas are counted as Bauer impugned the Clinton campaign’s “attacking the caucus process.” http://thehill.com/campaign-2008/cli...008-03-04.html |

some of that covered here http://www.talkleft.com/story/2008/3/4/142712/2196
A bigger issue is Obama suing to keep polling locations open til 9pm in Ohio saying they ran out of ballots, while the people there say they never ran out of ballots. Polling locations are in heavy AA areas. Clinton wins RI. Going by exit polls Clinton wins TX by a couple. But thats just one interpretation. |

Heres a thought Gish, if Obama cant beat Hillary in Ohio where he outspent her 4-1, with the press handling him with kid gloves, and Clinton not coming even close to what republicans are going to do, what makes you think he stands a chance against Straight Talking Media darling McCain?
BTW, how does Obama handle actually being asked questions? He answered like...8 questions! Leave the poor guy alone. |

Just because someone has a preference for Hillary does not necessarily mean they would stay home if Obama got the nomination. For example, I support Obama, but if Hillary wins, I'd still vote for her and hope for the best. It's common fucking sense. |

Its not about staying home, its about McCain being more appealing than him. He has the same strengths over him that Hillary has, with a group of people willing and able to tear Obama apart.

Everyone tears everyone apart. It's the nature of the game (which is sad). What's different about Obama is how he can keep people from caring too much about that. People dwell on the dumbest crap about Hillary, but at the same time, others get all crazy over Obama because of the way he acts, and it doesn't seem to matter what people say about him. That said, I think Obama will get Texas, and this will drag on to PA.
