You should - I read all his novels, and they're truly excellent.

hmm, i see. yeah, the storyline isn't much, but i'm actually the opposite - i appreciated the storyline more than the writing.

Survivor is his best. Apparently they're going to go ahead and make it a movie sometime within the next few years. They were going to make it in 2001 but the whole 9/11 thing happened and they pussed out.

So, they're making Choke into a movie and it should be out this year. Then hopefully Survivor. God, I love that book,.

don't give up on books, just give up on pointing out the literary shortcomings of others

to answer your previous question, no, i didn't graduate. i dropped out and got a g.e.d.

i went to private schools where the most we ever read was probably huckleberry finn or pilgrim's progress. i was not exposed to anything like great gatsby, catcher in the rye, etc. so instead of blaming my upbringing, i'm doing something about it and playing catch up.

i mean, it sucks, but it's also fun, too.

on a side note, i always enjoy seeing people on facebook go from "i don't read much..." to listing 20 popular books that came out in the last 6 months, especially when this happens in conjunction with "so and so is now in a relationship."

I'm now reading Couples by John Updike. This is my first Updike book. I think it's going to be a while.
