Oh god yeah Anthoy Fantano is his name and he's fucking insufferable. That said every time I watch one of his reviews I find myself tending to agree with him.

my contribution to this thread is I love Anthony Fantano. His reviews are pretty cool on albums I hate even. I guess he is mainstream now and the US equivalent of narduar, who should die in a fire.

it's like he's got his head angled to the camera or something

IF THE RADIO DOESN'T PLEASE YOU , YOU TURN IT OFF AND PUT ON THE BANDS THAT THE RADIO PLAYED FOR YOU TWENTY YEARS AGO

YOU'RE A FUCKING JOKE

YOU THINK YOU'RE SOME KIND OF INDEPENDENT FREE THINKER, IT'S WHAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST

ANOTHER HORRIBLE THING IS THAT WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT "THE 90S" BEING A GOLDEN AGE YOU'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT SLEATER-KINNEY, MODEST MOUSE, OR BUILT TO SPILL

YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT STONE TEMPLE PILOTS AND THE TRAGICALLY HIP

KILL YOURSELF, RIGHT NOW.
I'm not talking about STP or Tragically Hip, I'm discussing the overall amount of good bands that were active during the time. The amount of influential, great, impactful bands in the 90's absolutely trounced the amount that there was in the 2000's,2010s.

Obviously there was tons of shit like Seven Mary Three and crap like that, but I never listened to any of that shit so it wasn't ever really relevant to me.

My favorite eras are the 80's and the 90's. I guess an argument could be easily made that the 70's was the best era for bands... But aside from that, i think 80's and 90's were as golden as an era as anything else.

I've always been kind of an electric guitar driven guy, so it makes sense that those are my favorite eras. I mean, I personally don't even listen to anything pre- 1960's.

Music is a subjective medium. Stop being such an elitist about it.

like i've said before, if music is entirely subjective then i'd have to accept that limp bizkit is good

and i know that's not true as surely as i know anything

Whatever influential and "impactful" bands you're talking about influenced the bands of the 2000s that you don't like.

Some impact that was.

I've talked about liking bands that aren't post-punk on this forum, so I felt like it should be obvious.
