This is a gem off Neil Young's new archival release "Treasure"

btw after listening to like every disorder cover on youtube, Bedhead's is the only one that doesn't pretty much completely suck. (Bedhead would go on to form the fantastic group "The New Year")

wow, that is a great version. Is this a bootleg or an official live release? And could somebody upload this show maybe?

EDIT: was talking about the Joy Division post.

I saw Converge at the end of May, and they didn't play "The Saddest Day" But they did play "The High Cost Of Playing God" which was fucking cool. There were some of the worst people at that show I had ever seen in my life though. Yuck.

Eisenhower by The Slip. You've all heard this, right? This is the band Radiohead would be if they ever got good. This album kicks ass, I insist you all listen to it.

Fuck yes, High Cost Of Playing God is awesome. I heard that recently they played some really really old stuff (Fact Leaves Its Ghost, Buried But Breathing) at Chaos In Tejas.

And yeah, the fans can kinda be dicks. I saw them last April and there were fuckheads everywhere. At one point after a stage diver nearly took my head off I looked up and Kurt gave me this look like "what a bunch of dicks, right?". Also the way Bannon is onstage I think can vary a lot depending on his mood. Apparently the time before when they were here he was being really aggressive and abusive to the crowd, but when I saw them he was in pretty good form. At the end of the show he just sat on the front of the stage and talked to people one at a time while they came up and showed him their Converge tatts and thanked him and stuff until the crowd dispersed. He was really humble and gracious.

Oh man, I wanted to go to Chaos in Tejas so badly. So many incredible bands on that. But yeah, it wasn't even the people moshing or stage diving that pissed me off; in fact, the venue wouldn't even let people stage dive, and the moshing/pit was so weak in comparison to other Converge shows I'd been to in the past. There were these two drunk scene girls who were screaming like they were at a Fall Out Boy concert, and one of them even hopped up on the stage at the end of Converge's set and hugged Bannon from behind. It was just... the weirdest crowd I've ever seen the band in.

Yeah it was a killer line-up. One band from my home town (Extortion) were on there which was pretty exciting for me. But yeah, Fucked Up, Baroness, Iron Lung... would have been incredible.

JJ were Trap Them supporting when you saw Converge? That band rules.

Rise And Fall are pretty great too. I'd say R+F, Trap Them and Masakari are the pick of the whole "bands who sound a lot like Converge" crop

I've said this here a million times before but those guys as a live show still stand head and shoulders above every other band i've ever seen. I've seen them three times now and every time they were note-perfect and never stopped moving for the duration of their set.

I expected not to like this new Bon Iver album (his last one was a little too boring and twee for my taste) but textures and instrumentation are interesting enough to keep pulling me along.
