Hunchback is fairly fucking epic. I read it like 8 years ago but it really stuck with me. It's funny how with certain books, you can recall vivid details from them many years after reading them. Like Hugo's 75 page lecture/tirade on architecture as a form of expression

what i remember is that frollo was super dark and esmerelda was super hot. also i think there was something about an anchorite. and i had to look up a dozen words just two pages in.

also how hugo wrote it. researched for a couple of years then stayed at home for a year, never leaving, writing like a motherfucker. his wife did all the errands. dude was INTENSE.
