Saw this with the kid. I really enjoyed it (without having seen the first one even). Loved all the references flying around.

Yesterday saw Widows which was just okay. A lot of lead up to a heist that was rushed through and by-the-numbers.

Today watching The Front Runner. I can't overstate my love of political fiction movies like these. On the campaign trail, behind the scenes. I love it and anyone who wants to give me as many suggestions for similar movies, hit me up

saw widows last weekend and last man before that. they're movies, ya know. you're right that widows was a real big lead-up to a non-eventful heist. but i don't think the heist itself was the story. i think it was about the main character going out to get revenge for her husband but ending up having revenge against him. living in the south-ish/west-side of chicago, it was cool to see the shots around places i recognized, too.

it was also cool to see liam niesen as an integral part of a story but not the leading man. must have been very difficult to pull-off.

I agree with ya. I also liked the unapologetic interracial relationship being pretty forefront. It's a nice change I hope to see become more normalized, as naive as that sounds.

Also, Chicago being my favorite city, it was so nice seeing it as the backdrop.

riiiiiiight. there was a rothschild's liquor i swore was on our on block and didn't think had any duplicates. but learned there was another from the movie.

i love that they opened with tongue-kissing, even though i hate watching people kiss. it was a strong way to let us know that that mattered.
