why is it incredible exactly? the main thing that was new information to me was bill saying that d'arcy had big time stage fright.

i found it mostly frustrating / annoying because jim and james said hardly anything at all and it was typical bill blathering

not mad at it, just wouldn't use the word incredible to describe it..

Yeah, that was a fucking terrible interview. He starts by telling the 3 of them how amazing it is, as a big fan, to have the 3 of them together in the room. And then he proceeds to practically ignore James and Jimmy. What a waste of an opportunity.

If I recall, all I heard from James was the following:

-That it "wasn't meant to be," re: Darcy not being a part of it, and then Billy interrupted him
-That he "Doesn't remember" the Euro tour from the early 90's
-"Thank you" when the interview ended.

Did I miss something?

If Billy wanted D'arcy to show up and prove herself, why didn't he ask her to do that? In the texts/conversations that D'arcy shared, she said she asked if there was any way she could be the full time bassist. Billy simply said no and that Jack was hired, sticking to the guest offer. Why didn't he ask her to show up and rehearse, and that then they could see from there if she could be the bassist? D'arcy was furious because Billy told her there was zero chance at her becoming the bassist, and saw Billy's guest offer without any chance at becoming the full time bassist as insulting and condescending.

Also if D'arcy reached out sometime after the feud, why not at least have a conversation with her?

I transcribed what Billy said about D'arcy.

If they had seriously wanted D'arcy back in the band, not only Corgan had talked with her in those two years. James instead stopped communicating with her at all. Jimmy never had done the last 19 years.

They would have all met after the reunion with James, shared memories and checked how much would have to be done to get D'ary back in the band after her long absence from the music industry.

Corgan now telling about her stage fright issues is another pretty lame excuse. She managed to deal with it at her 11 years in the band. No need to make now a drama out of it.

And how crazy is it to call someone crazy (for trying to reconnect), if you like to describe yourself as being crazy. Billy calling James once a piece of shit, one of the worst human beings he ever met in his life, but now of a warm family vibe in the band is indeed crazy.
