I also remember Jimmy saying on one of his drum clinics circa 2013 that James and D'Arcy didn't want him in the band and he didn't want them in the band.
Was always confused about why he said those things. At least up until 2005, he was in some communication with James and he was gunning for the original band to get back together.

"All I can say is that the Smashing Pumpkins are Billy, James, myself and D'Arcy," the drummer told the Sun-Times. "In an ideal world, that's what it will end up being. The hope is that everybody will come to the table, but I can only speak for myself in saying that I'm in, and I'm excited."

Chamberlin did tell the paper that he has not spoken to Wretzky since her departure from the band in August 1999, but does exchange e-mails with Iha regularly. The topic of a Pumpkins reunion has never come up, Chamberlin said, but "I intend to reach out to him."
Maybe he just soured when they didn't respond to the "open" invitation.

Don't forget that Jimmy grew his hair long to be like James but when Jimmy's hair was long like Jameses then James cut his hair and Jimmy was sad.

2005 was a long time ago. They were still young, and less than 10 years out from being in the biggest rock band in the world. Jimmy and James probably figured out a lot of shit between then and now.

well i seem to remember on the arising tour that Billy and Jimmy had a tour bus and James and D'arcy had a separate bus

The question nobody is asking is: "What about Jeff?"

Will they give him a tambourine to play? Or perhaps Billy will still want to play Run2Me and they'll bring him out for that?

...remember this announcement (July 29 2016) ?

>>>

"Corgan added that he, current Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder, and Jack Bates (who’s played bass with the Pumpkins) are starting a new band. They haven’t figured out a band name yet, but they’ll start working on new music next week. He said that Katie Cole, Sierra Swan, and Linda Strawberry (all of whom have worked with Corgan in the past) will “probably” be involved with the project, as well, and he described the band as “much different from Pumpkins music.”

Loudwire reached out to the host of WGN Radio’s The Download, Justin Kaufmann, who conducted the interview to get his thoughts on whether Chamberlin was hinting at a reunion.

“It would be great for the Pumpkins to get back together for [next year’s Siamese Dream 25th] anniversary,” he says. “And in the interview, it sounds like Jimmy is up for it.”

I'd fuck one of the guys who made Spiderland. Maybe

So it looks like this might actually happen. Not DArcy of course, since shes too busy hang gliding and riding white horses
