Working a 9-hour shift, staying up all night doing drugs, then going to see Swans play in insane heat inside a huge converted warehouse-type venue with like 2000 other people, being in the front row and getting Gira's famous death stare. Literally the closest I have ever been to permanently losing my mind. That was pretty magical.

I'm pretty sure the 2 different Swans shows I saw at a tiny little club in West Palm Beach (maybe 80-100 people?), super drunk on monster and vodkas, were the best 2 shows I've ever been to. and i've been to a decent amount

i ask because i was in the mood for some the other day and flipping through my collection i embarassingly realized the only things that i have in this category would be john porras' black mesa or emeralds allegory of allergies.
