Yeah, but people on Netphoria wouldn't argue that Ocenaia is being listened to more than Gish. That's just nonsense to the highest degree

Man, it's just like your sex life: just because you're not getting any doesn't mean nobody else is.

lol I fail to see the connection. Do you actually think that a landmark album like Gish is being listened to less than Oceania?

It's probably hard to tell how many people are listening to it right now, on the other hand we can see there are still people listening to Oceania, it doesn't matter if you like last.fm or not. You may not listen to the album anymore, but a lot of people still do.

that's 1 out of 4. granted, mixing of the vocals is a lot better than zeitgeist and TbK, same as oceania. drumming is far better. liking what i've heard so far, though there's 5 more opportunities to wreck the album

just got around to listening to this. it does indeed have a New Order vibe, and the drum part is quite similar to "In a Big Country" so i can see why he mentioned it. this is a strong track for sure. i just listened back to all four and I am pretty jazzed about all of them, even BB has grown on me and feels good among the others. I wonder which one of these will get the radio and video treatment. My money's on One and All, but my personal fave is Tiberius, hands down.

Fuzzy, last.fm is not "social media" goddamn shut up. Will you ever realize what a completely ignorant jackass you are?

I want a mute, im absolutely sick of him. Almost everything he thinks is stupid he dpesnt know anything about Last.fm catalogues what you listen to and provides siggestons based on tHat. For the worlds biggest philistine buttrock grungetard connoseur of juvenalia this obvs wouldnt interest him since rock reached a zenith with NOFX and pave is right on the money. The way you tslk, the stuff you like and do all points to a manchild who refuses to let go of his youth. Stop talking down to us like yr the only adult in the room |

After listening to it a bit more, I hear it more now. I was thinking of early New Order, I sometimes forget about Get Ready and Waiting For the Sirens Call (even though I liked quite a number of songs, I don't normally go back to listen to those albums).

The beginning guitar reminds me of Cherry from TAFH. Is Billy playing bass on this? Sounds amazing.
Anyway, I think this song is the best we've heard so far. And, the best thing he's done in a while. And it's not even "my" kind of Pumpkins song if that makes sense. |

I just read l Billy's comments on it and he things the song is "almost like mid '80s new wave or something", so we're not that wrong.

i don't know it still just sounds like mgmt with motley crue drums (i wonder why) and boll singing over it
if i'd just heard that intro coming on unannounced on the radio or something, i'd be expecting a vanwyngarden vocal comin up soon for new order with bc... see new order with bc (turn my way) |

i guess new order are just a band i for the most part have hard time hearing in anyone else, partly i guess because their sound is so specifically that collection of people and perhaps their actual songs to me that if i'm not hearing two or more of those elements it's just not worthy of comparison for me.
tiberius bein sabbathy though, that's undeniable |

Forgotten Child was just referring to the vocal melody sounding new order-ish. I didn't hear it at first but after a few listens I can sort of hear what he meant. I wish it did sound overtly like new order, I probably would have liked the song if that were the case.

When you're on your own, behind enemy lines, no artillery, no air strikes, no hope of an evac, you don't fight dirty. You do things that make dirty look good.

Am i the only one that loves Zeitgeist and Oceania? I would rate Zeitgeist (with the bonus tracks) higher. I enjoy both.

Sadness. At a time when we should be celebrating some very good songs. Dumb asses arguing about Oceania vs Gish. Morons on whether it is a single or pre-release. BC's voice too high/too low in the mix. A bunch of sad sad individuals. You all suck here.
