argh. "Ivory Tower" written by Jack Fulton and Lois Steele, versions by Cathy Carr and a rhythm & blues version by Otis Williams in 1956 there is the Ivory Tower Blues by Sam Donahue (and His Orchestra), also from the 50s but I only see reissues, not sure what year that is really from.
