Her time with the band was too short.
A total pro? The only other band he's toured with is his dad's. Wow, how on earth did he land that gig? I wonder

well that's not how she views it obviously. i guess you didn't spend your 20's and early 30's being part of the band, from when they were nobodies up to world-touring.

she wants to play and reconnect, not go on a business venture. how is that so hard to consider? that's even the way mister corgan put it in interviews.

it can never be mended i guess. in the words of billy corgan, she wants her band back. which means she wants to be part of the smashing pumpkins band again. play music, have fun; an art project. she doesn't want to be a subordinate of the smashing pumpkins business company. but that's what it is to billy now. so it can never be mended.

Jack Bates is a 28 year old professional musician from Manchester, England. As well as being the full time, touring bass player for Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order) since February 2010, he also toured as bassist for ground breaking US rock band The Smashing Pumpkins in 2015. He is always looking for new projects to get involved in, both in terms of live work & in the studio, so please get in touch! Have a look around the site to learn more, check out current tour dates & see photos/reviews.

James is in a much more popular band. so the 'cash rewards' promised to him must be pretty large, for him to agree to work with fucking jack bates and jeff schroeder. not to mention the fact that linda is probably there everyday, since she apparently has nothing better to do.

I just wanna talk about how incredible it would have been to have SP show up on stage for the reunion, have D'arcy play a couple songs and then be replaced by Jack White for the rest of the set. Just out of nowhere too, not even advertised.

So it’s late Tuesday. When is this Alternative Nation megaton dropping? Or has Billy thrown his lawyers around enough to scare them off?

I'm quietly pleased because of all the SP bassists, Jack is my favourite.

He is the complete package. So all you fucking D'Arcy fanboys better get over it, because JB is going to bring the bring the house down on this tour.

Clearly you haven't seen him live. He has:

a) mad stage presence
b) a funky style
c) a real devil may care attitude

Look, he's good and I'm fine with having him be the guy since the real reunion scenario is fucked. But he's the "complete package"? Surely you're not just going off a two month tour he did with them 3 years ago?

I think Billy just likes Jack Bates so he can brag about having Peter Hook's son in his band.

I'd prefer Sierra Swan at this point tbh

Is the Peter Hook band a household name in the US? I had never heard of them (which says jackshit) until his son toured with Bollster.

speaking of, where is Sierra? she was involved in the Bollster solo tours, suddenly she vanished out of this sphere and Strawdingle popped up again?
