wouldn't the only decent respectable thing to do at this point be for the band to play excellent venues (like Massey Hall?) and excellent shows? I mean, with all 4 original members, sure, try the arena thing with the big lights and all. Sure, there's a fighting chance if they can sell the smashing pumpkins as Billy, Jimmy, James, and D'arcy that they can sell out or come close to selling out arenas. This half-baked 2nd reunion, however, needs to play the ball as it lies. Small venues, bring james, do new music, reinvent UNITED STATES with a long JAMES solo instead of billy's national anthems or whatever, maybe even get James in on Gossamer or something, but seriously, shouldn't he avoid all this REUNION stuff? SP has been around in reunited form for about as long as SP had been around in the first place

I think they’ll announce a new greatest hits - maybe even a collectors box with all the remastered albums like Blur / Oasis etc did. Plus tour. Plus new single.

Despite the D’arcy stuff I think it will be all good. I’ll lay down some cash to see James and Jimmy back in the band. I just hope the new song is good and not mixed badly.
