I think Adore and MACHINA had a lot of crossover when it came to the writing.

No knowledge of the machina chart? Sorry, you're an idiot.

Also, not sure this is well recognized or not among you idiots, but Billy already leaked the original intended Machina 2xCD tracklist.

I don't give a crap about some stupid Machina story or concept that you're nerding out about. Even Billy couldn't figure out what it was about. What matters is the quality of the songs and those are two that should not be left off of any Machina II playlist.

Truth.

Billy’s insistence the reissue will have the original, intended narrative flow is probably why the new tracklist will suck. A concert within an album is some dumb fucking shit.

Slow Dawn, Vanity, Lucky 13 & Speed Kills should be on the album.

Lucky 13 is a better rocker than TEG, Glass, Cash Car.

Saturnine is a good song, but the EP version doesn't do it justice.

dude. lucky 13 is ballsy and demented. teg tries so hard and falls flat on its face (accept for the chorus. I love that shit). glass is ok but kinda corny tbh. cash car star straight blows.

sorry, it's just like my opinion man.

I listened to nothing but the Q101 version for years but I've recently come around on the Virgin promos a bit.

Oh I was drinking but the song was released as a Machina song and it's still one of the worst songs he's ever released.

The best part is he keeps releasing it on Zeitgeist and Monuments and Shiny Happy Pepole over and over again.

Agree with all of this.

Lucky 13 was a stylistic departure that shouldn’t have worked, kind of like Modest Mouse releasing Pistol, yet it has stood the test of time and still sounds fucking great.

It probably should’ve been a single. It would sit comfortably alongside Seven Nation Army on early 00’s radio.

Lucky 13 is just kind of whatever to me, I honestly thought people lumped it in a ranking not too far from Because You Are. Glass Theme I'll agree kinda sucks, but M2 Cash Car is a masterpiece of obnoxiousness. forget the lyrics, it's the sound of BC/JC's synchronic ass-kicking on the level of a Jellybelly or HKK

y'all clearly love being wrong about TEG so i'm not even gonna address that

that part is the worst for sure, but the verses aren't great, and the 'you know i'm not dead' bits make me wince.

most of the heavy songs from the machina era seem a bit forced to me. They're fine for what they are, but the best songs are the relatively mellow ones for sure.

I can imagine Billy being very much still in the Adore mindset songwriting wise and feeling he had to bring the rawk to be critically acclaimed again.
