I got a free whole chicken at the supermarket last week. I went through self-checkout, the tag wouldn't scan so I called for assistance. It was super busy and the helper came over and said to just take it.

The rest of the year is all downhill from there.

The whole system was dumb, you have to scan the product, place it in a bag that's on top of a weighing scale. So it checks the product you scan based on the weight difference in the bag and after the bag is full you have to click to start a new bag...

All super slow and full of errors and having to retry 5 or 6 times sometimes. Took like 30 minutes to scan 6 items.
