Default ST# 45635: Favorite HTTT Song?

Right now I'm really digging Sit Down. Stand Up.

Sit Down, Stand Up has so much potential that is not realized. That song should've ended with the biggest crescendo in pop music history, but instead fizzles out in a mild drum n' bass freak out...

right now I'm digging Myxomatosis, one of the few songs on the album that I don't hear and immediately think "boy, this song would've been better if they had just _________"

that's kinda what makes it my favorite song on the album... although the VERY end could've been more interesting.
i can play it perfectly on piano. i should make tabs or something.

It is really hard to decide, but for the sake of the topic I'll say, "Sail to the moon."

Oh and I was shocked at how much of a difference there was between the pre-mastered early version and the final cut. Stunning. This album is up there with OKC and Kid A, easily.

Good. People have been making music with huge crescendos for years; spitting in the face of convention isn't necessary a bad thing. One of the coolest moments in music this year by far is at the very end of the Blood Brothers album when the last song, "The Shame," never hits the peak of its crescendo--it just stops. Flying in the face of expectations and fucking with the listener, as long as it's done well, is a great thing; if it makes you second guess somebody's art for something more traditional, odds are it's been done well.

while i can actually listen to this album when compared to the 2 previous albums, i still think radiohead has made the same album over again.

ha! So true.

I think all of Radiohead's albums sound very different. Hmm

I haven't heard much off the first one, but I'd have to disagree with you on R and SFTD. They're very different imo.

nope. if you actually listen to them, you can tell that each album in its own isn't necessarily the same. But its your opinion. I however' feel that everything after ok comp is the same electronic rehash with thom incoherently spouting the same words line after line. amnesiac and kid a are from the same recording sessions, so i guess thats why. this new album though, is nothing different. But thats my opinion.

2+2=5 or Sail to the Moon or Where I End and You Begin or We Suck Young Blood or There There or A Wolf at the Door

But not Scatterbrain or I Will.

Solid album.
