it taught me how far a mediocre white man can get if he rips off the right ideas and sucks up to the right people

True but they sneak in so many jokes in the background, I feel like I am missing something if I don't have my glasses on! So I can't use it for actual sleep. Family guy is so dumb, I'm almost out halfway through the theme song haha. They could fire the animators and call it the Seth Macfarlane radio hour.

A Million Ways to Die in the West is one of the worst creations made by human hands.

i'm almost certain he wrote it so he could make out with charlize theron while pretending to be an MWM version of shane

Can that Family Guy Billy Corgan bit actually be considered a joke? It's literally them just showing the picture and saying what it is. It's not even remotely clever.

I watched Family Guy through the end of high school and beginning of college, and caught occasional episodes here and there. I have not watched a full episode, I'd guess, since 2010. Watching this clip, which truly hits the bottom of the barrel, I'd like to think that Family Guy was better when I watched it, but I really do not care enough to find out. Regardless of who this clip pokes fun at, it was lazy and uninspired.

i thought that pic/meme basically stayed here. Didn't it start here? Regardless, I can't imagine it got played more anywhere else than Curious to how McFarlane got wind of it.

Seth McFarlane is a pretty talented guy and he has an interesting history but you know, he should probably be doing impressions and bad magic tricks on the school holidays children's entertainment circuit rather than getting rich in the mainstream media. I've laughed out loud at Family Guy in the past. But I've also watched a lot of episodes that were painful. My eight year old watches it every time he's left alone on an airplane, while he drinks can after can of soda. He loves it. Mainly Stewie and Brian I think. Kinda worried about that kid.

Yea, they do that a lot. The funny family guy episodes are really great, but when it doesn't work and all you see if the formula, it's pretty painful.

South Park called them out hardcore in this 30 second clip:

I think this is the biggest mainstream mention of Billy since TMZ and all those shows were talking about him banging Jessica Simpson.

And also, I think a lot of you guys are missing the point of the joke. The jokes supposed to be funny to the people who haven't seen or thought about Billy Corgan in 20 years. That's why later on in the show they did the same bit with Bridgitte Nielson drunk in a park.

I finally looked it up. I hate how all news sites have to have headlines like something is the biggest deal in the world. If you type in Billy Corgan, these three news headlines are the first to pop up. so do you click on

a. ‘Family Guy’ Pokes Fun at ‘Baby Man’ Billy Corgan
b. Family Guy Mocks ‘Baby Man’ Billy Corgan In Brutal Clip
c. Watch: Family Guy Makes Fun of 'Baby Man' Billy Corgan in New Episode

So you don't know who Billy Corgan is, you ignore a and c, but maybe you click on B to see this "brutal clip" And if you don't click on any, you file away in your brain somewhere that some Corgan guy got embarrassed in some brutal clip. And for celebrities, who cares, but this shit gets people elected president

nah man... The joke is to 99% of the population who has all but forgotten about Billy Corgan, then Peter brings him up with the joke and everyone subconsciously goes "oh yeah.... that guy..." and then they see the hilarious photo and it illicits hardy laughs.

While I agree that the joke was intended to poke fun at Billy because no one cares about him now, my grievance with it is that it wasn't funny because it was as poorly timed as your abortion.

Family Guy was very popular in jail. So was Jerry Springer and Walker Texas Ranger.

Just sayin'.

Would most people even recognize the photo? I mean, it was a meme, but I don't think it was a major one.

I don't think most people even know Corgan by name. He's just "the bald guy from Smashing Pumpkins" to most people. Most people don't know what happened to SP after 1996.

Can some mod or admin instill a script that replaces all instances of "Billy" or "Corgan" or "Billy Corgan" with "Baby Man" ?
