I've actually been meaning to dig into more Sabbath.. I've never really given em much of a chance, but there was a recent concert aired on TV and it was pretty kick-ass. I'm gonna download some now on SoulSeek

I am pretty glad that both women still want to be my friends. And both of them clearly stated that they are no longer interested, rather than just ghosting me. Definitely gives that feeling of closure that doesn't occur when somebody, say, stands you up and ghosts you and uses your photo while ignoring you.

I think what does kinda sting, though, is the fact that they like me as a person, but just aren't feeling the "chemistry." It just makes me run through all these counterfactuals and what-ifs in my head. Like, it doesn't just seem like we're not compatible or something, it seems like we could have gone on longer if only I had been more romantic. I'm trying not to ruminate about that, because it will only make it harder, or make me do something stupid, like putting her in an uncomfortable position by asking for another chance. I tried to take it maturely and not burden her by vomiting my emotions all over her and making her responsible for that baggage. I think by the time we hang out as friends again, the urge to do that will have subsided.

there's a big change coming, trust me. women in their late 20s and beyond that are actively dating tend to behave far, far less ambiguously. no one past that age has the desire for games anymore, and they aren't afraid to spell out what they want so they can get it, or move on if it's not right for them.
I think the thing is, if I wait until I near thirty, by that time, my lack of experience will be an even greater impediment and will be a large red flag. People will want and expect an experienced man even more. I'm pretty sure that each year that passes without any such experience increases the likelihood that such experience will never be had. Somebody whose never been in a relationship by age 50 isn't likely to ever be in one. And those people, though rare, do exist.

Yeah, but we can't taste each other's tears over the internet. That's an important part of the bonding process for me, licking my friends' crying faces.

Yeah, it sucks. Almost feels like looking out at the world from behind a Plexiglas barrier. You observe everybody else connecting, but you can't feel any of it.

I do hope you continue to make progress with this, though. I hope you one day will be able to have close relationships.

It's pretty funny how fuzzy will carelessly throw around terms he doesn't understand in support of what was never a valid argument in any case.

Sorry, pal. There definitely is leagues.
It's strictly a metaphoric term and there's definitely exceptions and equalizers, e.g. money.
But let's not kid ourselves.

Therefore, there definitely is leagues.

You're psyching yourself out too much man. You could always just rock the good ole missionary position... Have some viagra on hand if you worry that your anxiety will hurt you from "performing". Once you do it, you'll see that you were worrying for nothing.

Fuzzy stop taking on the whole board and giving DK semi ironic advice.

Instead download Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Vol. 4. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Yeah, Disco. You might also want to have a go at dressing like a thirteen-year-old, being as thick as pigshit with a tablespoon of cornflour mixed into it, and having nothing to say at all that can't be torn to pieces with remarkable ease.

Lol I'm honestly trying to help... As Larry David puts it, there's no harm in "corking the bat" every now and again.

But yeah man, I can't believe I haven't really checked out Sabbath yet. I got the discography downloading now. I'm actually stoked.

Is any of the Dio era Sabbath worth checking out in your opinion?

DK I certainly didn't mean wait until you're 30 to pursue anything! I meant it more like the "game" aspect that seems so insurmountable will be practically gone by then, and honesty/directness much more valued. Basically, hang in there and continue to work on improving your confidence and take a little solace in the fact that people don't act so contradictory forever.

And Fuzzy I'm the last person to try and bully anyone. You SERIOUSLY need to work on your phrasing because the way you say things apparently does not express what you actually mean. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt on that. But before you call me a cretin you should also re-read your post and see how it can be GROSSLY misconstrued. I never claimed to be any sort of moral compass, but in all my posts regarding relationships over the years I've loudly stressed communication and honesty.

Fuzzy the two best albums are MASTER OF REALITY and VOL 4. Shit kills.

RBG Killing Urself to Live is the bomb. Used to listen to that while drinking soju in Kangnam after midnight.

I have nothing to say to the rest of you.

I'm sorry I reacted so impulsively. I know what I wasn't saying wasn't exactly a romantic ideology, but I didn't think you guys would read into it the way you did. I guess I did word it kinda sensationally... But I dunno.

I guess it's good to keep in mind that I've always been a drinker and have dated drinkers, so when I say getting drunk, it's just something people in my circle do... It's not like some malicious thing to try and take advantage of people.

he was talking about relationship experience - intimacy - not sexual experience. some of that includes sexual experience but that is obviously not what he was talking about
