Thumbs up Gregor Samsa

Is anyone else as into this band on here as me? I really think they are underrated as far as some great stuff that is out there. They have a new cd coming out soon but 55:12 is pretty much amazing. Young and Old gives me chills almost every listen.

young and old: pleasant enough, but

as if low and explosions in the sky weren't already treading on familiar ground

so i wish someone would explain to me why the fuck people like this band.
unfortunately, they are from where i live. i've had to see them twice already and i was bored out of my mind both times.
i've actually avoided going to shows because they were playing and were so bad. a friend said that members of the band have been in other bands that were good, but agrees about how bad gregor samsa is.

nothing more familiar than low forming a melancholic slow trio when grunge rock was peaking.

I've also been dragged to their shows a handful of times and failed to see the appeal.

I sorta expected people on here to like them a little more than this. I dunno. I really like this sort of music, the whole shoegaze sort of stuff. But I have never seen them live so I dunno about that.

not talking about the early/mid 90s, i'm saying that now:

-whatever gregor samsa's up to is nothing new

-whether or not the above is even important, other people are still doing a much better job of it
