The Xbox One's restrictions on used and borrowed games is just the next nail in the coffin of the secondary game market.

i cant believe ps4 is going for $400. i really expected the other way around with xbox being $350-400 and ps4 at $400-600. definitely getting ps4 as soon as there's a non-pc exclusive like FFXV or something.

they gotta be selling the thing at a huge loss though

this gen has pretty much been tapped dry. yeah they're still doing impressive things but i sort of feel like i've seen it all in terms of multimillion dollar epics

so i'm glad they moved it to the next level. but that's just me

yeah it started out as the darker alternative to FFXIII, which was obvs aimed at a younger audience. then it disappeared for awhile and people thought it was cancelled but it was just being revamped as its own standalone FF

I doubt i'll be buying a new console any time in the 12 months after release but I too will definitely be going PS over Xbox in the next gen based on what i've seen. I foresee Microsoft either doing a massive policy backflip or losing a huge amount of their market share here.

Steam really is poised to just swoop in and clinch the console wars if they choose to and were to play their cards right - their pre-existing marketplace platform is infinitely better than what any of the major console developers are proposing, and they already have a massive and loyal following.
