there are way worse bands than either to have in your collection, i'd be wary of whatever else your girlfriend's gonna be that quickly judgmental over

Hmmm, interesting. I never got sick of The Strokes, unlike certain other bands.

For me, my #1 band I later got sick of was Coldplay. Never have been able to get back into them, when I tried relistening to their albums sometime in the mid or late 2000s(i.e. A Rush of Blood to the Head, etc).

The Dead Weather never quite clicked with me. All the ingredients are there, I like all the musicians involved, but they just feel like musical wallpaper to me.
