oh boy I am surprised another person who wants to put down polyamory because he doesn't understand it, I have certainly never experienced that before

You turned a girl into a lesbian, I think polyamory isn't your biggest issue dude.

I never said anything about PA. All I've read itt is that you're upset she's getting along fine with multiple partners and you're not not getting any from anyone.

Not putting down polyamory at all, in fact I think more people should give it a try.

I don't think this situation has anything to do with polyamory. You're dating a girl whose growing increasingly bored and uninterested. Many relationships take this trajectory because they were just destined for that.

Sometimes a good ground rule is that nobody can enter your polyamorous arrangement without already having a mate. That way, everyone has a "number 1" to go home to when they need it without displacing someone else's number 1. Seems to work well for a lot of people.

Isn't that kind of like needing experience to get a job but to get that experience you needed to have worked a job to get that experience, which you needed to get in a job which needed experience?

Or am I just misunderstanding what you're saying?

i really think "having a serious committed relationship with one person and having sex with others" is different than polyamory which is, as far as i understand it, "having serious committed relationships with several people"

one sounds sane the other is like how much time do you have in a day to manage serious relationships with two or more people?

would not have attempted this in any previous relationship. it never occurred to me that this is something I was interested in until I was with this girl

it's kind of a shame to me that every time this comes up, everyone feels the need to tell me I'm doing something against nature. I can only guess that everyone's fixation with tearing my situation down is based either in some sort of subconscious drive to defend social norms even though that sounds totally stupid, or some sort of twisted envy built on a subconscious desire to fuck everyone (pretty sure nearly all people actually have this buried in them). Not really sure. It's hard for me to understand how such liberal, enlightened individuals can turn into a bunch of witless advocates of social conservatism as soon as the issue at hand is not a hot-button social cause. Sexuality is fluid and unique to each human being, which seems fucking obvious in the West in 2014 but I guess not.
