This is a strange song. I definitely enjoy it. It's not something I would seek out, but it put together very well.

It looks like this album is going to be a pretty good effort. I'm thinking these songs are going to be awesome live. Is there anyone in Germany that's going to tape the show on the 30th? I definitely want to hear that boot.

Are people just really starved for new Corgan material? I don't get it.

i like this a lot, even more so than Tiberius and One and All. I can see this being played on the radio and getting pretty popular, but we'll see.

But... it's not. It's just new. Guaranteed after a few months, the luster will wear off and people will listen to it about as much, if not less than, Oceania. It's the same pattern with every release.

these monument songs aren't without fault, but drum + fife is catchy in a way billy hasn't been in a long time. his melodies as of late (and i mean since 99/00) are typically small and moderately hooky, but they take time to sink in. d+f is memorable right out of the gate.

Why do people assume nobody is listening to Oceania anymore? According to last.FM, Oceania songs are ranked better than some fan favourites such as STARLA, La Dolly Vita, The Last Song etc... And Oceania (the album) has more listeners than machina, Zeitgeist, Pisces and Gish...

Does anyone even use Last.fM anymore?
Pretty sure only teenagers and kids use that shit still... Would explain why Oceania is ranked so high. |

It sure beats posting YouTube videos of Canadian buttrock bands on a Smashing Pumpkins forum.

nah... not really. The process of posting a video on Nethporia literally takes about 10 seconds. Nerds that actually sign up for some service just to "showcase" to everyone what music they like to listen to is a daily endeavor.
The funny thing is a lot of these "last.fm" users will purposely listen to critically acclaimed music just so it shows up on their account to give themself some "cred". |

Now I wonder why users of Last FM would listen to Oceania more than Gish... Hmmm... I wonder... Could it be that fans of Gish are adults and wouldn't waste their time with social media crap like Last fm? Yes... That makes sense.
A young man like shallow wouldn't understand though |

It's just funny to see kids in their early 20's trying to argue that people are consistently listening to Oceania more than they are Gish. Total "Elphy-ism" right there.

Kind of reminds me of Machina and TFE with a touch of Zwan thrown in for good measure. The last two tracks have certainly gotten my attention. One and All has grown on me even if it's still unspectacular. It's too bad about BB though. Hopefully the rest will be good.

Nope, those mature adult people prefer waste their time on posting on board such as Netphoria.
