Best first date car CD (inspired by john ******)...
whenever i'm on a first date with a chick, i do two things:
1. take her to thai (if she likes it of course, which all girls do...at least the ones i've dated) 2. put on a good, smooth CD in the car for good ********** music over the last few years, it's been beulah before that, new adventures in hi-fi or the bends YUO???//? |

who the crap is Dylan McKay?
ummm not that i've ever had experience in this area, but i'd probably go with something "safe" like Pearl Jam-live on two legs or something. nothing too different/personal cause then I'd be listening more to the music than them. Music is hard to listen to with other people. |

I'm a big fan of Elliottt Smith's - xo. It is good and quiet, too.

Why is Pearl Jam's bootlegs safe? If I went out with someone and she put that in, I'd be like "ummm... put in some REAL music!"
I'd probably go with something soft enough to talk over, yet not too depressing. Something like Yo La Tengo's "Fakebook" would be a good choice. It puts people in a good mood. |

The Bends? Are you trying to depress her?
anywho, the only thing I play when I'm with my girlfriend is Jeff Buckley, very quiet and in the **********. I don't know why. maybe it's because she gave me the gift certificate that I bought "Grace" with. and her mom gave me the gift certificate that I bought "Sketches" with! haha I just realized that. anywho, she usually picks the music, so nevermind. |
