I love Rocket but there are so many all-time classic SP singles that are better...

I haven't heard of this song Disarm before.
Is it from Shiny and Bright (No Future. No God?) |

I just can’t imagine a top five list with no BWBW, TT, Today, or Disarm. It just feels wrong to me. Like you ripped one of the gospels out of the Bible.

ah tristessa is a good one.
and yeah it was hard not to in-clude tonite. that was the song that got me into the pumpkins. perhaps i was a bit harsh on disarm. thinking back last night, i remembered listening to it for the first time. like someone said in this thread, i had never heard anything like it. quite a moving experience. |

I've been listening to a lot of Oasis lately. Since I was digging Be Here Now, I dusted my Definitely Maybe CD off yesterday and was listening to that and damn, that's a damn fine album. It was one I was never really checked out in full and I picked it up in a thrift store haul years back and probably only listened to it twice, but it really clicks for me now. Liam really weaves his voice in awesomely with Noels guitar work. Sounds dope.

Best 5 SP singles (as far as songcraft).
Tonight, Tonight Disarm Rocket 33 1979 tempted to put the everlasting gaze, but the excellent songwriting is overshadowed too much by the bad production choices and vocals. SIYL and rhinoceros are also honorable mentions. |

It sure does. It was literally on the radio as I was driving home this morning and I cranked that shit up. Always hits the spot. The "what have you GOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT" part is literally a top 5 Corgan studio moment.

If you’re going to list “untouchables” for SD, keep it at top-3. Anything more, and you’re just typing out the track list because you can’t make a decision.
IMO, the 3 SD untouchables are: Disarm Soma Geek USA Mayonaise is a runner-up. |
