New JC vid
Jimmy talking about the slush in his hats during the Hummer verse....never ever thought I'd get to sit here and hear him talk like this about these tracks

Didn't he use Sakae drums on the new pumpkins recording? I seem to recall him flying his white set out to LA to record with Billy, which he then took to Malibu.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BeUaseED...d=5kolgah2qidv Also seems he had more Yamaha drums painted to match the tour kit. I spy an 8x7 shell and what's likely a 14x6.5 http://drummagazine.com/jimmy-chambe...hirtieth-bash/ |

so two things stand out to me after watching:
1) i have no idea what he's talking about when it comes to gear talk. i'm glad he's that into his instruments, but i can't follow anything he's saying 2) i feel proud to be a pumpkins fan when i hear him talk. nothing is self-referential, like, hey me, jimmy, it's more like, me, the drummer within the context of this band. when i hear b'arcy speak, it seemingly always comes back to him and becomes less about the music. jimmy seems to be about the music and nothing else. much respect to the guy |

I think he's saying that he can EVEN use those hats for Hummer. But yea, good point. What an incredible musician.

Look at Jimmy's jazz vocabulary...I've never seen him doing that in a rock setting:
He turned the stick around, hit the tom, left the stick on the drum head and moved the stick across...that creates a certain sound: https://j.gifs.com/jq1Y3v.gif |
