Bill has posted a “perfectly stated” tweet from his “good friend Neil” - the celebrity creep and “pick-up artist” Neil Strauss - about Covid-19. That’s who Bill turns to in times of crisis. Some two-bit bullshitter. It’s a toss-up for which of them knows the least about any of this. The thought process behind the quote is monumentally stupid, obviously:
“One day, we will look back at the headlines from this moment and see that the amount of fear being pumped into the public was far greater than the threat, and as a result many began to believe the threat was far lesser than it was” Get your head round this garbage. Credit where it’s due: the target audience is so dumb, however this situation plays out it works as a soundbite. Loadsa deaths - that’s cos the press oversold it and people became complacent, fewer deaths - the press were just scaremongering, but every life lost was a tragedy. Complete nothing statement. Bill is a dumb fuck. |

I watched some of that podcast and he was really pressing her to delve deeper but tbh it seemed like she didn’t have much depth. He was outclassing her intellectually which I know might be hard to believe.
