prob my favorite thing to ever be tagged "IDM" at the moment

the fact that he's been able to pull off a lot of this stuff with his live band is mind-blowing as well

i actually only heard Syro for the first time in full yesterday

it's a treat. more like I Care Because You Do than RDJ (which is more my type of Aphex) but still I thoroughly enjoyed it

Happy to see electronic music get some love. I listen to electronic music a lot more than rock. I got the older bands I love from from my teen years and maybe a few more recent bands, but I find a lot of current rock music bland and boring. I grew up during the 90s electronica boom, which I feel was an amazing era. But I'm pretty hardcore into electronic music and I've been producing and releasing electronic music for a little bit now. Not really IDM kinda stuff, more aggressive beats to blast loud on a system live kinda stuff. (If curious, you can find me on streaming services as Neorev)

I got to see Autechre live. They played in complete darkness inside a Masonic Temple in Brooklyn. It was interesting lol. I like older Autechre more. Their later stuff is a tad too abstract for me. Tri Repetae is my favorite album from them.

Clark is a current producer I dig, who was on Warp Records. He now formed his own label Throttle Records. I got to see Clark live when he did a tour with Nosaj Thing and Rival Consoles. I was also a big fan of Nosaj Thing and discovered Rival Consoles from that show.

And I absolutely love Lorn, who released stuff on Brainfeeder and Ninja Tune. He now releases everything himself. One of the few artists who have gotten better with age. www.lorn.bandcamp.com

Amon Tobin is another legend. He used to be on Ninja Tune. I bought his CD simply from the cover art and seeing the Ninja Tune logo. Had no clue who he was. That album was Out From Out Where, and it blew me away. Got to see him live 10 times. He just started his own label Nomark to release several different aliases that are all him. He already released music as Amon Tobin, Two Fingers, and, now, Figueroa. He's got a couple more coming this year.

Got to see Squarepusher live. You should check out Squarepusher's live band Shobaleader One...

Squarepusher released a new album Be Up A Hello and EP recently that was pretty good. He said he went back to older gear for it.
