I get what you're saying. Maybe I just go to to many metal shows or something? I'm used to the crowd moving constantly on it's own. I'm not an "asshole" that just shoves people out of his way by any means, lol I tend to just make my way to the front while people are moving or when I see an opening.

I would actually be kind of annoyed if people were totally anal about their spots. We all paid the same amount for our tickets so I don't see a reason for people to be greedy at a GA by claiming spots near the front the entire set.

Nahh not anal or greedy by any means...it's a mutual respect thing.....at least that's how SP shows usually go in my experiences.

That's another reason I wanna be there early, because my man could give a shit who he pushes aside to get to the front and if we're already there it's not an issue LOL

i am by no means any authority but i thought the "no lines" policy was referring to camping out to buy tickets the morning they went on sale.

legally they can't shoe away legit ticketholders for waiting in line for doors to open. whereas they could shoe you away for camping out to buy tickets. if they were smart, rather than freak out, they will issue vouchers like at a restaurant, and then allow entrance according to number. i've seen a lot of shows at "non-traditional" venues that did this. prolly won't happen though.

Garksi, you're the greatest. I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass either. I'm still trying to figure out if making a shirt for the show is "gay" or "really gay".

the only legal issue with lining up would be a fire code violation. but it WILL happen, even if they shoe us away every 5 minutes, those last 5 minutes there WILL be a line.

i really hope there's some drama

What time are they opening the doors?? I wasn't planning on getting there 'til around 6:30pm anyway. So I don't think this "no lines" deal will affect me very much. But I'm looking forward to hearing the stories once I get into the venue.

I've had an email into them for a couple days now with no response. Not really expecting to hear back from them but you never know.

If I'm not mistaken, the Horseshoe Casino is currently closed and they don't re-open until August 8th. It's possible that this is the reason you haven't received a response.

The website suggests that they are currently open "unofficially".. maybe they don't return email until they're officially open.. just give them a call

Horseshoe Casino is now open! Be one of the first to experience the all new Horseshoe Casino before the official grand opening

Well, at least we know there are workers / staff there then. Maybe you'll get a response to your email, Effetig.

So what's the earliest anyone is planning on getting in line? The amount of time I can spend in line will directly correlate with how much breast milk I can pump in Iowa.

sorry man, but thats the way it goes. you know what GA stands for, right? no one has a right to "claim" any one spot. people these days don't seem to understand that. and its sucking the life-blood out of GA shows!

besides, its only the railing dwellers that truly get the benefit of standing in line all day. everyone else just ends up gettign sifted around anyow.

some fun tidbits:

during lolla they were circling signs about the horseshoe overhead on the back of planes.

yesteday i receivd two $30 chip vouchers for the Horseshoe, based on my player's club status. thats $60 in free chips. hell yea. included in the letter was a flyer for upcoming shows. they proudly boast how Bette and SP are sold out.

for all the speculators...there's no telling what will happen. this is day 2 for the venue, day 1 for a rock show, and day 1 for a GA show. so yes, expect chaos as someone else mentioned below. i'm just happy with can smoke indoors....and its GA.

I should have at least one, probably two tickets for sale for face value (including ticketmaster fees) if anyone is interested.

I'll be at the show, so we can find a way to meet up before hand.

Send me a PM if interested.
