I will have predicted all four first-round series incorrectly, but I won't care, because it will be great to see all the favorites go out. (I guess it can be argued that the Twins weren't really underdogs, but still.)

You're damn right. The Twins and A's matched quite well. The only 'advantage' the A's had was home field, which didn't amount to shit since they couldn't fill their stadium. I guess the fans wanted to wait until they actually made it past the first round before going to see them play....

Oh well, guess they'll be waiting for a while longer. GO TWINS!

I would say the Twins were definitely the underdogs. They won about 10 less games during the regular season, played in a terrible, terrible division, and don't have anything close to Oakland's starting pitching.

That being said, I'm really glad they won. During their 20-game winning streak, the media up here in the Bay Area acted like the A's would cruise into the World Series.
