No.

I don't believe they have radio communication, either.

if he were to ask you today, would you be more or less hesitant to go into the woods with him now that he's killed a man?

very poor quality video. I don't see how anyone could assume only from the video that hitting him was intentional.

It looks pretty clear to me that the slide is a result of Stewart hitting/dragging the guy. The slide clearly doesn't start until after he hits him, and the direction of the slide is exactly what you'd expect to happen if you hit a person with the right side of a vehicle on a dirt surface.

Also it sounds way more like the sound of a slide( and dragging of a human body) across a dirt track than it does the sound of a motor revving, not to mention the fact that it also doesn't occur until after the initial impact

watch the slow mo if you don't believe me

This was the result of an immature driver ignoring safety procedures because he let his emotions override common sense.

The slow motion just proved my point at precisely the 7 second mark, where the rear of the vehicle is moving toward the outside of the track. It occurs prior to contact.

I don't see it, but even if thats true then that just proves he was trying to miss him, if the rear slides towards the outside of the track then that would mean Stewart was steering towards the inside of the track, away from ward.

This is a person who clearly knows nothing about cars. Please ignore this person.

He lost control of it he opened the throttle so far. He didn't even have it pinned that hard when he spun Ward out. It's very obvious he pressed the accelerator and did not steer away from Ward or hit his brakes.

Hit him? No. Mess with him? Considering he got out of his car and threw his helmet at another driver's car in the past, yes. I think he meant to spit dirt at him or shut him up with some engine noise, car went too far sideways, tire caught him, now Ward's dead.
This.

Why would you walk towards a bunch of racecars while they're racing? Idk shit about cars, but that seems like a poor decision

Clearly you don't understand how they work if you think the rear end moves in the direction of the steer...

Rear goes outside. It's what happens in every rear-drive automobile under too much power. Even bikes do it. It's a VERY basic concept. Google oversteer. Watch a video. I'm done.

A car doesn't just fishtail due to turning. basic physics tells us that if both wheels have the same linear velocity while turning, the whole car will slide, not just the back. That's why its advisable to let off the throttle when you start hydroplaning this is the case regardless of the material the track is made of and the distribution of mass in the vehicle.

Fishtailing occurs when the linear velocity of the rear wheels is greater than that of the front wheels, which can only happen if an additional force is applied. This is determined by the differences in static and kinetic friction. now on a Dirt track, there might be more of a continuous relationship between the two coefficients rather than two discrete values like you'd see on asphalt. but there WAS a difference. there's no doubt he opened the throttle coming out of the turn.

Whether its alright to drive like that under a caution flag, or if it indicates malicious intent, I don't know. But he was delivering an accelerating force to the wheels.

Sprint cars slide upon hard breaking a great deal, though, when they turn. Dirt track race cars are glorified skates.

I’m a NASCAR fan, and I have a pretty decent idea of how cars in that circuit handle, but sprint cars are a different beast. The vehicles are small but high-powered machines, designed for racing on compact ovals. Often, as was the case at Canandaigua, dirt replaces the more manageable hard surfaces you see in NASCAR. Motorsport.com Editor-in-Chief Steven Cole Smith notes in his early account that sprint cars have poor visibility and Ward was wearing an all-black firesuit and helmet. It may not have been as easy as you think, then, for Stewart to see his young counterpart. Smith also points out that sprint car drivers use the throttle as much as the steering wheel to maneuver their vehicles, so any acceleration before the impact could be the reflex of a seasoned driver, not the malice of an irate one.
More food for thought.
