you know what i think this is my destiny i actually liked the sting records i had as a kid yes i had sting solo records as a kid and you know what the guy is pretty maligned. i know his music is basically white people doing yoga rock now but i can get on some fields of gold and fortress around your heart

I've never actually listened to his solo work aside from the few huge singles or whatever. Would you recommend checking any of it out or is it just something that you enjoy for nostalgia purposes?

so after relistening to dream of the blue turtles i have remembered the reason people hate sting is songs like russians, children's crusade and moon over bourbon street. the first two are that kind of stone serious lets heal the world with my song kind of political 80s stuff but you know i don't have a problem with that but these songs are boring, they're like sermons ugh. but then we work the black seam is like that as well but the overall mood is darker and the chorus is catchy, and horrible at the same time. so it works. what can i say. moon over bourbon street is boring like the other two but he's trying to be clever and fails.

3 police songs on her kick ass, if you love somebody set them free, love is the seventh wave, fortress around your heart

weird how srs he is tho, there's lots of funny police songs i guess that was early on

i'm going to change to a sting avatar

What are some good Sting songs to check out? I've always really enjoyed a lot of Police songs but never bothered checking out an iota of his solo records.
