how long will it be lee? as in how long until it's finished, not the length of the song

Hard to say exactly - I'm working on it off and on and it's kind of an involved process on this crappy computer, and there's still some contributions to come as far as I know. Hopefully it won't take more than a couple of weeks though

I'll throw down a solo over a chorus and get it to you sometime, this sounds like it could be hilarious.

Ok, I started using Cubase and this is gonna work a lot better. I'm rebuilding everything I'd done in kristal and that's almost done, then I just need to get on with mixing everything excessively

Also thrillho, if you're reading, I never realized you'd sent a synth solo too. I found it in your folder yesterday and added it in, and I was practically punching the air when I listened to it

Well hey, I think Catalina's too busy with moving to Barcelona to finish her bass part, so feel free to put something together if you have time. I'll have to chop up what I have so far anyway, so you'd probably get something recorded quicker

Do you have anyone doing drums yet? I didn't see it listed, but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Yeah maybe I can figure it out. My brother might have a microphone and stuff. It would be nice if I could plug right in to the computer, I don't know how great the quality will be if I lay a microphone next to my amp.

Hell whichever, you're a pro remember. Just make sure you play to the backing track I posted, and everybody wins.

I have pretty much a complete drum track, but if you can record something then go for it and I'll put it in somewhere. It still needs an end bit where everything slows down for one thing

You inbox was full, so I'll post what I was sending you.

Okay, this is what did, it's the 3rd and fourth chorus. I'm not really done, but I wanted to see if this will work before I put the finishing touches. If this isn;t what you're looking for, I'll start from scratch, it's not big deal. Let me know one way or the other.

Ha, cool. I threw it in a little later than you said since I have a particular vibe going on with those choruses right now, I think it will work better either earlier on or at the climax of the song. You'd probably be best sending them as individual tracks if possible to make it easier to mix, so long as you don't send me like 10 of them (this computer's chugging along already). Also so as you know, each chord is for two bars - yours is changing every bar, unless you're going for melodic counterpoint or something

It will if she records herself shouting it. I still want to put some distorted METALLLLLL vocals in there somewhere

Ah, the 2 bars vs. 1 one explain why it didn't sound quite right when I was singing along to it. I'll send the individual tracks a little later then.

Edit: Oh, would it work better for you if I switch the chords to 2 bars? Lemme know, and you can use it wherever you want it. I just don't want to do anything that will overpower everyone else in that part with me.

Yeah man, doubling everything to 2 bars would make it fit a lot better, and you'll get more time in the sun! Don't worry too much about overpowering things, since I'll be the one balancing that in the end, but separate tracks means it's less all-or-nothing when it comes to tweaking the sound and how it fits into the mix
