i'm not familiar with 'mobbing' but what you seem to be describing is straight up harassment. in america it's taken very seriously unless you're working in a service industry like a restaurant or something

i think bullying in the workplace is more like "i'm going to treat you like shit because i can!" ... i guess that could classify as harassment. but harassment is more about being a jackass where bullying is about deliberately making somebody's work experience miserable just because

hey, buddy. no need to get aggressive. i didn't realize you'd be sensitive to some playful ribbing. i really wasn't trying to bully you so cool off with that snotty 'tude.

i'll be real serious from now on.

it's funny how fate was taken for granted in early humankind's development, then the enlightenment was like OMGZ FREE WILL and we ran with that and now science is like well, actually...

what the fuck

i'm also afraid because my kid is the cutest little dork and she just wants to be friends with everyone and i am going to be cruuuuushed if she loses that spirit because of other jaded little shit stains in her class.

i still have a child-like sense about me where i just want to be friends with people and laugh and sometimes i am a bit too open with people, some people draw back and are 2cool4skool but i can;t sorry

the two big pillars of western civilization (the Greeks and the Biblical near-east) have different ideas about free will and choice I think. And once these two traditions were basically syncretized (like as in the pre-enlightenment Christian era in general), you still find a lot of different positions on free will within different movements, philosophies, theologies, blah blah

tl;dr: that's a gross oversimplification

That's how A is... a very giving sweet person who wants everyone to be her friend, and doesn't want to believe that people can be bad. I just got her hooked up with a library club and it's been great little morale booster for her I'm learning as I go along here... but I've found that more activities really helps her at this particular age.

That's good to know and so true about learning as we go. Really have to just go with what you feel is best for them. Library club sounds dope.
