Default Rocko's Modern Life / Eeek The Cat

90s cartoons like this were awesome. Really subversive and sharp writing. But still really funny too. I also loved Taz-Mania.

Rockos Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, and Doug were the top Nickelodeon cartoons.

I think in a lot of ways Taz-Mania was just as brilliant as Rocko's Modern Life.

Doug was awful. I put it on the same level as Rugrats.

I think Eek the Cat is my favorite cartoon from that whole era.

My mom's embroidery company had a chance to get a contract to make exclusive Nicktoons patches (iron on and regular) for Nickelodeon. She had a VHS tape of the premiere episodes that her company got while they were in the bidding phase or whatever Nick did to choose a company, and I got to watch them before they came out (like a few weeks before, it wasn't that much before). The company didn't get the contract but if they had I'm sure they wouldn't be out of business now
