oh another liver story

i had a great aunt libby my mom's aunt. she'd visit once in a while for the jewish holidays and she apparently made this awesome chopped liver. which i actually remember liking. she'd make it like a dip sorta, you'd put it on crackers.

so i was scooping it into serving dishes and she insisted that all of the dishes had to be PERFECT, with crackers sticking into the dip just so, and that when the pre-dipped crackers were taken, i was to come back and put more in myself, instead of just letting people dip their own damn crackers. when she died my sister and i were like 8 and 10 and we couldnt stop laughing about it at her ceremony. poor aunt libby and her chopped liver. my mom almost broke into a giggle a few times. she brought it up at thanksgiving a few days ago

It's weird, I was such a survivor and so wanted to be a part of life while I was trying to snuff out the life that was inside of me. I had this duality of trying to kill myself with drugs, then eating really good food and exercising and going swimming and trying to be a part of life. I was always going back and forth on some level.

i think he's just referring to the ends justifying the means, i.e. it was worth it to be a chimpanzee-pig hybrid even though the idea of a chimpanzee getting it on with a pig is repugnant

That doesn't make any sense...
But, it does make some sense when you're drunk and you know that The Human vs Pig albumen genes are 83% identical (Google) so maybe...

But no, not actually...

Nah it makes sense. He meant machiavellian like, if you believe the ends justify the means. Not everyone believes that but that doesn't mean they aren't clever or that this author thinks they wouldn't be clever if they didn't think that.

My parents tricked me into liking it as a kid. I used to really like it. I must have been crazy. I say tricked because in the past 5 years i've realised most of the stuff my parents fed me as a kid were high in iron because i had a slight iron deficiency. I guess I should thank them cause it was better than taking the liquid supplements I was forced to drink as a kid for a while. But I still feel tricked.

As for horse, i've had it a few times. Because we're french canadians I guess it made it into our culture somewhat. I mean they sell horse meat at most grocery stores. though it's not THAT commonly eaten. But it's there if you want it. I don't get how it's worse than any cow. It's a dead animal. Either eat any of them or none I say. People should be more offended by pigs. They're clever and close to us DNA wise...

apparently Hawaiian's love the Spam because it harkens back their cannibalistic roots during Kamehameha's rule. The Spam taste a little human, or so the notion goes.

I'm vegan so like whatever but I think that cannibalism should be tolerated for animal eaters. Like it escapes me why humans don't eat their dead. So wasteful.
