There are probably only, like, three or four posters on the board that I wouldn't care to have in chat, so I never felt it needed to be a secret thing in the first place. It isn't my chat room, so I just respected the decision to keep it on the down-low.

I don't really see those few people making an effort to join it, anyway. I'm sure Poots would be in no rush to register.

I don't know who banned you and I was never consulted, but keeping something confidential shouldn't be broken in this way, imo. People are bound to break off with each other. You just gotta be the bigger person

I'm afraid you're going to need to bicycle courier those negatives to my current location or possibly adopt the business idea once put forth by a dude whose intellectual wherewithal I immediately questioned, i.e. train carrier pigeons to deliver USB sticks. Failing that, I guess I'd settle for the original scans at their full resolution.

Basically put, scanners will very rarely do a perfect job of accurately recreating your shots and I wanted to see if there's any room for improvement.

I see. There is most likely tonnes of room for improvement, seeing as I shoot fully automated. I haven't yet gotten the hang of manually setting exposure. I tried doing this when I started, but everything came out shit, so I threw my hands up and just went with the programme mode.

Maybe I ought to practice with a digital, so I can see what my exposure settings hath wrought immediately. Would be easier to learn through trial-and-error that way, than by waiting to see how the photo came out after I've already forgotten what I've done to cause it to come out that way. Digital SLRs are heckin' expensive, though.

From what I've heard, the place where I get my film processed actually goes directly from the negatives to digital (I guess they project the image onto a sensor rather than a print?), and the photos are printouts of those. So, it isn't real print-making, and the digital images I post aren't scans of any prints. So, there aren't really any "original" prints to send. Is it the negatives you would like? I admittedly don't take very good care of them, but I could probably figure out which drawer I stuffed them away into and mail them.

Yeah, they'd just scan the negatives with a film mask. I'm operating under the impression that what you posted to the thread has been resized downwards and so I'm requesting the largest possible digital copies of those two shots I liked most.

When it comes to manual settings on automatic cameras, the more manageable option might be to toy with aperture and leave your exposure times to technology. That way, you can control depth of field to whatever artistic end and still ensure a correctly-exposed result.
