post punk is something else

I still listen to King Krule singles once in a while. "Rock Bottom" is so good.

I think I showed you his first single under a different name once.

I was disappointed by his LP.

Yeah same

Kicks off with these punchy jazz guitar driven tracks absolutely killing it but then I don't find anything else like it in his discography and now he's doing like a hip hop project

The sound is not great but this live version is worth a watch if you like the song. I want more sledgehammer in my music

Yeah they're definitely a favorite. I saw them before they stopped playing again and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Have you seen the Anthem DVD? I just found out about it and now I need it

I love them and most of their albums. the last one is my favourite.

but for some reason every time I saw them live has been a disappointment. they just kind of stuck to the mediocre bluesy part of their catalogue all three times I saw them. the gigs weren't bad or anything, they just didn't play many good songs.

and they have so many. I really hope they reunite again.

this was pretty funny: http://www.self-titledmag.com/2010/0...-latest-album/

that article is hilarious.

If y'all like Harvey Milk, check out a band called ASVA. More in the drone/experimental mode but they're awesome

Did you see that this LP just got repressed?

Used to have a huge PTV collection in school but eventually had to sell it all. Couldn't hang anymore. Dreams Less Sweet is the only good album IMO.

Yeah that article was funny. They didn't play much of the bluesy stuff when I saw them. I was not disappointed. I think My Love is Higher is still my favorite.

Yeah this album takes a nosedive after the first couple tracks.

I saw them play live at a festival a few years ago with merzbow, oxbow, sleep, etc.
They were rockin

When I saw them (05 or 06) they were basically a Velvet Underground cover band.

To reiterate, the only good album is the 2nd one, Dreams Less Sweet. That's all you need from that band. Maybe the Unclean single if you need more.

If you want to get more crazy and get some live albums, then NY Scum/Haters or Live at the Ritz. End it there. Don't do what I did.
