Thumbs up Stevie Ray Vaughan is not overrated

I know he gets a lot of hype from the guitar center breed of guitarists, but this guy is a fucking legend. Listening to Couldn't Stand the Weather, stoned out of my mind; is there any other life worth living?

Only Austinites are allowed to say SRV is overrated.

I think saying "overstatement of the century" when we not even out of the first decade of this century is more of an overstatement.

Also, duh. But I would definitely ******* SRV in a list of the top 15 or so guitarists.

dude can shred some blues but his playing always struck me as kinda predictable. sort of like robin trower.

I guess. I like Trower a lot too. Neither did anything particularly innovative, but that has never bothered me in light of their high level of proficiency and ability to play emotionally, something a lot of "good" guitarists fail at.

lol, are you serious? I do not give a FUCK about a guitarist's technicality. neo-classical speed metal bullshit does not do it for me.
