I'll save the next guy the trouble and highlight the possibility that, after years of Guns N' Roses and Mötley Crüe, it might not be such a massive coincidence that "watered down" music came to sip from the crystal goblet of "major label arena rock."

If everybody puts in the effort, I am sure at least one of us can come through for the rest and say something new about Nirvana.

One of the best things about spending this many years within the various online communities attached to The Smashing Pumpkins has been watching fellow members such as Elphenor grow up before my very eyes.

This latest revelation leads me to think that, before long, he'll actually like receiving clothing for Christmas, will begin to resist taking part in family photographs, and might even overcome his fear of the infectious danger presented by girl germs.

i think he just means that everybody got used to calling Nevermind a sellout record, or a boring "rock 101" record because it was so culturally prominent and overplayed, but when you listen to it with a head clear of prejudice and accumulative fatigue, it really is a very strong record

like stairway to heaven

I will say though that I always reach for In Utero, Bleach and Unplugged much more often than I do Nevermind. It's just been played to death already (by me, by everyone else).
