Thinking about this as well. I set my standard by truly awful 90s joke band An*l C*nt who would bring out 60 minute albums, with about 60 songs.

Consider the tone lowered.

Speaking as someone whose faced US customs in a band with a weird name, I have often wondered how the hell Anal Cunt managed to tour anywhere.

I just realized this is literally all Napalm Death albums as well.

Add him to your ignore list, and don't reply. He is also one of the poorest spellers on here (your/you're where / were etc) so feel free to ignore him a second time.

Don’t be silly, that tone is nothing like SIYL. It has Oceania/Jeff written all over it.

Thanks for the review man! I've been about as unexcited as could be, which is a bit of a surprise considering it marks the return of James and Jimmy. This gives me a little bit of hope though. I was thoroughly unimpressed with Solara and Silvery but it sounds like there's some legitimately interesting music featured on it.

Just looking forward to the 3 star release and the following bolly bashing.
Solara belongs to the worst sp2.0 tracks.and jimmy letting it loose . lol. Silvery has drum loop.
Dry mix- bully front with thin synths.
This will match monuments 2.0

Hype rating: -3

At least one should not expect the album to be better than the singles already released...

I think that's unfair. Solara isn't a masterpiece, but I'd put it in the top half of SP2.0. I know that's damning with faint praise for some people, but its not the the worst end. I think Jimmy's really good on this.

Jimmy sounded a bit over the top on Solara, like trying to give the song more appeal.
At least the end was musically listenable this way.
The lyrics are still crap, like Billy's singing, especially at the beginning.

I know I shouldn't take the bait, but "wannabe"? It is literally my job. I've written professionally about music for a decade now.

Have you considered investing in the Chicago Manual of Style? Or maybe A Writer's Reference?

Just a thought, brah.

In their case, a small release of serotonin. It's fun to be mean to be people when there is no fear of retribution.

Anyway, thanks for posting the review. Did the album come with a press release, is it watermarked? Is it just a hidden stream sort of thing? (I'm not asking for a leak)

Actually has a very Zwan feel. I think all three guitarists are here, but it's possible of course that it's just Billy. The only track here that could really have been on Oceania (there's some bass -probably WPC- that is very Nicole actually). Strong.
This makes me very excited!

It's a stream via private link. It usually is these days, very rarely CDs. If you're lucky you get a downloadable link, but with bigger releases they're usually just a stream.

Here's the full press release (which actually contains some small typos in the spacing. I am not responsible for those):
