Default Why are tickets to the upcoming The xx shows $50?

Let's speculate in this topic why it would cost $50 to see a band that has been around for like three years while I saw Springsteen (who has made like three classic albums before the xx we're born) for $65.

Fuck.

And yeah i know Springsteen is a dinosaur and is no good blah blah

But yknow he's proven himself with touring for like 30+ years and the shows are THREE HOURS LONG. That's why he gets away with it. Like him or not, his work ethic is insane.

Meanwhile The xx want $50 to whisper to each other and not move on stage.

Well of course it was nosebleed! But his righteous tunes are good in any seat.

Also it's like they are from New Yoek, right? It's not like they are flying across the world to come here where I would almost expect tickets to be pricey.

Twilight sad are like a mill times better and they flew over from scotland and tickets were $10

as i am not usually a person that blames pitchfork for things, the mass sudden popularity of previously "independent" or "underground" acts, like M83 or the XX is pretty much attributable to pitchfork's slavering devotion to them

redbull knew, he just wanted to take a snarkster dig at the "uncool" music of his parents because he's still rebelling.

actually it was a dig at springsteen's recycled stage show. I enjoyed it but it's the same thing he's been doing since ESB reformed in the late 90s

Elliot school crowd pull pricey tours.

Could you imagine if Burial did a massive tour? Tickets would be $900
