He's probably not recording with them anyway. Thats been clear for a while now. I doubt he's in but I stll see a senario where James is in for the tour. He never did anything in recording anyway. How could he pass up the bucks he could make if the album is even marginally successful? Assuming Billy made a real effort to get him, he'd be a fool to pass it up for Scatchie records. I predict he'll be on wellfare in 10 years or less if he does not rejoin the Pumpkins.

i had a dream last night that john madden and james iha went bar hopping and on sunday night football john madden said that james was one of those guys that "never changes" so whatever that means, i just woke up and it's all a big blurry mess right now.

I had the same dream but then they discussed the machina mystery and became vampire hunters and had to kill Billy who was obviously the king of the vampires thereby killing all the other vampires you know what I mean so mystery solved and stuff

Hasn't ANYONE ASKED James whether he's in the band or not? I find this very strange. Maybe he has signed a contract not to say anything.

It really is true. Nothing you say does ever make sense.

The Pumpkins Queen said, or so says the people who reported back to Netphoria, that there were some photos she couldn't show the fans because of lineup revelations.

And yet, according to that artcile, James is clearly not in L.A. right now with Billy and Jimmy.

Thus, James is not a part of the "lineup" that The Pumpkin Queen referred to.

So.... who was she trying to hide from the fans?

My guess is it's Melissa. Anyone want to bet $5 that I'm wrong?

First of all, how can anyone compare Elliott Smith or Jeff Buckley to James. That is two totally opposite ends of the spectrum.
Second, just because James was seen somewhere other than LA, it doesn't mean he hasn't contributed to the album already. Maybe he already recorded his tidbits to the album and is taking a break doing his own shit with his record label. Maybe he just flies back and forth a lot. It seems that the "secret identity" of the other members would only backfire on the Pumpkins if James wasn't in.

Elliott Smith/Jeff Buckley- creative geniuses who were totally fucked up and didn't care much about being famous but rather about making good music that meant something to themselves, also, one stabbed himself to death and the other drowned.
James Iha- spent the majority of his time standing behind the shadow of Billy Corgan, creatively not doing too much aside from an album the flopped, and he is still alive.
Just because three people are being credited with the "indie" label doesn't mean that they are alike or can be credited like another person.

It's entirely possible that Billy is adding his parts to rough mixes (that the band did during the summer) and that James might come back when he has time (or that he has already) to fill in his parts. Billy was always the "sound" guy anyway. James always seemed to just add stuff in to what Billy had already come up with.

'|' jIMMY '|' are you saying James is dead

Because that article in the OP would be pretty factually inaccurate if you are correct

And we could put a lot of lineup speculation to rest if you can provide proof that James is deceased

i think james contributed a lot in the studio, we just can't always hear it b/c billy likes to be bigger than his bandmates (i.e. zwan). the artistic direction of the pumpkins was enhanced by having james.

Don't forget his failed foray into the fashion world!

That industry and the people in it really chafe my ass.
