I am immensely sorry, but linking Smashing Pumpkins material here is illegal, immoral, and utterly and completely banned.

It's as simple as that really, no dodgy deals, no ebay find, no rooting around the Sadlands dumpsters. Just an awesome find on a CD by someone archiving and cataloguing all the unreleased Frogs material.

HEY YOU!

For your information, I sent pavement a very tersely worded private message which informed him of how deviant it would be for him to click a link, provide a password, and unzip the said song.

Tsk-tsk!

Did Bill ever comment on how this version got leaked? It has some similar vocal takes that can be found in the Matt Walker Reimagined version from the boxset... I wonder if it was originally supposed to be included before Billy got word that everyone already had it.

it wasn't leaked, the one who shared it here got it from The Frogs archive in 2012 - all in this thread, if you'd bother to read.

plus, the lady who owns this CD got it as early as 1999 - from Corgan.

didn't really have the stigma in the 90s as it does now though did it

& that looks like an enjoyable collection up there, was it just all of the machina stuff that was acoustic or does only the lady with the cd actually know that

don't know that lady, but apparently the latter. she hasn't heard the actual Machina II album yet and couldn't say if the tracks are any different to what we all know.

By '99 it definitely already had the stigma, and it was only created in '94

bancomicsans.com launched in '99 and I personally am stunned that confirmed AOL user Billy Corgan was not aware enough of the movement to avoid using it in his own material

I like to tell fellow font snobs Comic Sans was based on the lettering in Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns and watch the sort of reaction as they try to recalibrate how or if this should affect their smoldering hatred (it shouldn't)
