Talking Stephen Colbert vs. Decemberists

It's on now. Robert Schneider of the Apples in Stereo as the opener. This is awesome.

Colbert made a Talking Heads reference the other day.

Peter Frampton! C'mon, didn't you ever see the Simpsons episode?

I can't believe he got Henry Kissinger on the show.

Of course I saw the simpsons episode, and the family guy episode, and I know that Peter Frampton will do anything for money as long as he gets to plug himself and his goddamn talking guitar trick.

Great episode... Colbert has more pull than Jon Stewart these days.

Colbert > John Stewart. easily.

monday's ep of the Colbert report was brilliant. Encouraging the Draft creates hippies because previously unnaffected college douches are now in the crosshairs. People hate hippies more than the war, naturally, and this will create more Republican voters.

He also had a nice long piece about Cheaney saying that Rumsfeld was the greatest defense secretary in history. "I tip my hat to you Dick Cheney for having the balls to tell it like it is." And then he burned on Harry Ried for saying "I'm not a doctor" when asked a question about senator johnson's consicousness.

I think the Daily Show made a fart joke, and John said something and then made a funny face.

You are correct. Stewart is hit or miss and lots of episodes leave me

As for Colbert, I can't recall a single episode that didn't make me laugh out loud at least 2-3 times. I hate that we have to wait several weeks for some new episodes. What will I do without the Threatdown and Tip of the Cap/Wag of the Finger telling me what to be afraid of and what to like and dislike?

lamest cross promotional stunt. colin meloy and stephen colbert compliment each other though as they're some of the biggest tools in their respective mediums.

Picture recycled from another thread, but seems appropriate.

I agree, great episode. But with all the hype, I was hoping that Colbert actually did know how to play the guitar, and was gonna woop ass by himself. Would've been a good suprise.

Kissinger made me LOL.
