You see a lot of these right-wing influencers hit the scene in this sensational way out of nowhere and they're always backed by secret lobbies and donors.

Caught night one down in LA - was a great show. Bar was high after those insane 2017 Ogilala LA shows I was able to see, and knew it wouldn't be able to hit those highs. Was only able to see night one, but it was fully worth the trip.

A few of the new songs sounded OK. Lots of Ogilala-esque lyrics, very obtuse to say the least. Hard Times stood out as a winner. Past that, Archer was the clear cut winner from the first set: crowd was nice and quiet, and he sounded great. For set two, the stand out was Daphne Descends. Not my favorite Adore song, but man was it good. He was funny and seemed to be in a great mood up there. Silvery comes out way better acoustic than full band electric somehow.

Other highlight of his banter was his sincere gratitude. Maybe it was just because I drove 5 hours one way to see him, and had to drive 3 hours home after to go back to work the next morning after going to bed at 3:00, but his acknowledgement of how hard it is to make things like that work sometimes with kids and families was really cool, and was from such a sincere place.

Bummed I missed James last night, that would have been cool. Curious to see what happens down there tonight!

I thought the same. A few wobbles but still very similar to his "older" way of singing.

What he should do is reserve his "new" way of singing (in reality, he's sang like that since 2003) for WPC and sing the "old" way for SP.
