He honestly doesn't think he can sell tickets unless he's calling it smashing pumpkins which automatically guarantees he will be playing smashing pumpkins songs. Here, he has to give you an essay so that the typical retarded smashing pumpkins fan (shortened to RSPF from here on out) will understand that just because he wants to play some zwan or solo album songs you are still getting the smashing pumpkins and rat in a cage. Which is a completely fake framework for what hes doing anyway under the SP name but I digress...

So while I agree that it's terrible, the reasoning behind it is the biggest mindfuck. I mean he jumps through so many freaking hoops just because he wants to bust out Riverview once in a while.
good thing you added "(shortened to RSPF from here on out)". that saved you some typing.

the zwan reissues will be under the SP name
RSPF won't know the difference and won't buy it anyways.

I've had visitors come from LA and New York to Dalston and spend time in the numerous beautiful independent cafes, bars, galleries, music venues and restaurants. All of them have said to me that it's their favourite district in the world. Then you have the beautiful Primrose Hill, Hyde Park, Hampstead Heath, Portebello Road, Broadway Market, Shoreditch, Chelsea etc all offering very different experiences. Out of all the cities in the world I've visited, London is by far my favourite.
In other words, London sucks balls.

Was reading the comments about this tour over at Rolling Stone and got a good laugh outta this:

vibe4 • 2 days ago

Dial back the guitars and really put the focus on Billy's voice.

Are they calling it:

'The exact opposite of what Smashing Pumpkins should be doing!'

tour?

Yikes. There wasn't a lot of redemption in that particular quality to tap into either.

But guys, it's a fact that Billy performs better vocally under these "acoustic" conditions.

$50 seemed reasonable, but apparently they sold out already and are now $90-$150. Nevermind, god! I wonder if these people know it's just Billy and Jeff

Now I can't really stand it much.

But at the same time, I really, really, really like the old stuff

So it's worth it. Kind of

Unfortunately

A few friends = Linda Strawberry and the manager of Zuzu's

A few friends != Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha

You'll never see James and Billy on the same stage again.

Exactly. They were sold out immediately. Just grabbed two on stubhub for $125 each in the 9th row. Not bad, but how they were all gone immediately (and available on stubhub before hand) is a mystery to me.
