He built this up as goin to be a totally different setlist but really its not. This final LA show was cool though, some different tunez.

Or is the sipping, in fact, the performance?

Cast a fuckin stone...Amazing! This was a wonderful song from zwans early days. How I wish they put that on the album. Empty sea? Wow. What is Billy’s psychology behind playing these songs no one but die hard fans know? Very very interesting song choices. Probably most out of left field song choices he’s ever made in his live concert career. (Seriously— prove me wrong). Hope for a new Zwan studio release of these gems?? I won’t hold my breath...but psychology behind playing them now is intriguing...to say the least. Especially as a long time fan...wow

He's mentioned some sort of Zwan box in the past, but like everything else, who knows when that's happening. But I imagine he's listened to those songs recently, and he's certainly more aware now just how many great songs he pumped out and never gave the proper level of esteem to. So I think he's trying to remedy that. #wildyetinformedspeculation

Empty Sea and Luna were the highlights for me of the Wednesday show, but one of the best parts was Jeff's couple of solos on The Spaniards, which were so good and well received he GOT A STANDING OVATION, as seen in this video. I have no emotional connection really to the solo WPC stuff, and this was still very very cool and impressive.
Who is the current violinist btw? Really good here and on Glass & The Ghost Children

These are some truly unreal performances. Would have to fly to NY to see this tour. May do it.

I believe it's Ysanne Spevack, who played with them before and even recorded a few songs. From the top of my head Superchrist and Stitch in Time.

Cool seeing the Zwan stuff. The version of "Mary Star of the Sea" they played in 2016 was probably one of the best things Billy has done in recent years.

Someone asked on IG why they didn't play Silvery Sometimes at the last show despite it being listed as the last song on the setlist. He said "Because I was aggravated" or something like that. Before the last song he did play that night, Shame, he was talking in passing about D'arcy, and someone yelled "DO YOU STILL MISS HER?" and he responded "oh fuck off" so yeah
